One of the earliest hoards discovered in the Balkan Neolithic of the Cucuteni-Tripolye culture in Moldova. The Karbuna hoard of 852 objects was discovered in a Tripolye A-B1 pot and it includes some of the earliest cast copper items, shell, marble, and bone jewelry. The date of deposition is disputed c 3800/3500 BC and the hoard has been interpreted as either a shaman's kit or as a communal ornament collection.
