One of the natural provinces of Champa, corresponding to present Binh-dinh in central Vietnam. Vijaya became the capital of Champa, and its conquest in 1471 by the southward-expanding Vietnamese marked the beginning of the end of this independent kingdom. See also AmaravAti, KauthAra, PAnduranga.
