In Korea, the collective name for the Mahan, P'yonhan, and Chinhan protohistoric peoples during the Proto-Three Kingdoms period. Literally, "three Han" these people lived in the southern half of the Korean peninsula. Small polities are thought to have risen into the states of Paekche Kaya and Silla from the Samhan.
