Name of projectile points developed out of the Clovis and Folsom points of the Big Game Hunting tradition, after 8000 BC in North America. Unfluted, large lanceolate stone forms were made by pressure flaking techniques. The two main types of Plano points are Plainview of 7800-5100 BC and Parallel which are longer, more slender, and more finely made.
