A rock shelter in Simbu Province, Papua New Guinea, in the New Guinea Highlands with evidence of occupation going back 25,000 years. Excavation has revealed a rich cultural sequence from the late Pleistocene to the present, and the basal levels contain waisted axes, pebble tools and several extinct animals, including Protemnodon and Thylacine.
