Wheel-thrown fine grey ware of the Middle Helladic period, found throughout the Aegean. Traditionally it has been associated with an apparently violent end to the Early Helladic culture, c2000-1900 bc and the arrival of Greek-speaking peoples in the Aegean. It is now regarded as a Greek product developed during the Early Helladic period.
