A valley on eastern Molokai, Hawaiian Islands, which has been the focus of intensive archaeological research. Major sites include one of the earliest Hawaiian settlements at the valley mouth (c 600-1200), and inside the valley are many irrigated taro terraces which document intensification of cultivation and perhaps political development at a late stage of Hawaiian prehistory (after 1500).
