Neolithic axe-factory on the side of Langdale Pikes in Cumbria, northwest England. Axes from this factory were widely traded, with the greatest concentration occurring on Humberside and Clydeside in the east of the country. They also reached southeast England, but none have so far been found in Wales or southwest England, which received axes from other factories.
