A stone industry found exclusively in the southern and eastern areas of Somalia and, perhaps, in the adjacent northeastern part of Kenya. Doian assemblages contain backed microliths and flake scrapers with both unifacial and bifacial points. The industry has not been subjected to recent research and no radiocarbon dates are available. A postPleistocene age is, however, probable.
