A 3rd- and 2nd-millennium BC Late Neolithic culture of the Ukraine. Large numbers of small settlements are known with hunter-gatherer subsistence known. Large quantities of comb-pricked pots found but grave goods were rare except for copper rings and tooth necklaces. Extended inhumation was the norm; the physical type in these burials is identified as Cro-Magnon.

Denotes a long-lived 3rd-2nd millennium be Late Neolithic culture of these two valleys in southwest Russia. Large numbers of small settlements are known, employing largely fishing and hunting strategies. Large quantities of comb-pricked pots are known, especially from a series of rich cemeteries concentrated on the Dnieper rapids area, in which 30-130 burials are found. Extended inhumation is the norm, with grave goods rare except for copper rings and deerand carp-tooth necklaces. The physical type in these burials is identified as Cromagnon.
