A collection of well-preserved paintings over the back wall of the shallow rock shelter Cueva Vieja in southeast Spain. They belong to the Spanish Levant cycle, c 8000-5000 BC (Mesolithic), and depict a group of women, hunters or warriors with bows and arrows and feather headdresses; and deer, ox, and possibly dogs.

The Cueva Vieja at Alpera, southeast Spain, has a fine panel of paintings over the back wall of its shallow rock shelter. They belong to the Spanish Levant cycle, probably of the Mesolithic period between about 8000 be and 5000 be. The humans include a group of women and some hunters or warriors with bows and arrows as well as head-dresses probably of feathers. The animals include deer, ox and possibly dog.
