A site in south-central Zimbabwe where Early Iron Age settlement is attested from the 5th century to the 7th century ad. Through its characteristic pottery, Gokomere ware, the site has given its name to the archae ological industry representing the Early Iron Age occupation of central and eastern Zimbabwe and the northern Transvaal.
