A cave site in a steep valley in southern Dalmatia, Croatia. The occupation levels discovered include: Early Neolithic Impressed Ware; Middle Neolithic Danilo culture; Late Neolithic regional variant of the Hvar culture; and Copper Age. This site has yielded the first radiocarbon dates for the Dalmatian Neolithic: the Impressed Ware occupation dates to c 5200-4600 BC, the Danilo levels to c 4600-4450 BC.

A cave site in a steep valley west of Ston, in southern Dalmatia, Yugoslavia. A five-metre stratigraphy comprises six occupation levels: I, Early Neolithic Impressed ware; II-III, Middle Neolithic Danilo culture; IV-V, Late Neolithic regional variant of the Hvar culture; and VI, Copper Age. This site has yielded the first radiocarbon dates for the Dalmatian Neolithic: the Impressed Ware occupation dates to <5200-4600 be, the Danilo levels to <4600-4450 be.
