A city of the Central African Republic where, about 2500 years ago, farming people set up numerous series of megalithic monuments consisting of standing stones - which weighed several tons - associated with tumuli. The cooperation necessary to make and position these monuments suggests that they were built by fairly large social units.

A numerous series of megalithic monuments in a restricted area of the Central African Republic, consisting of settings of standing stones associated with tumuli. Dating evidence derived from such excavations as have yet taken place is hard to interpret, but it is possible that some of the monuments were erected as early as the 6th or 5th millennium be.
