Generalized hunting tradition, evidence of which has been found within a wide geographical band stretching from the Bering Sea across the north Canadian coast as far east as Greenland. The Denbigh Flint Complex, named from the type site at Cape Denbigh, Alaska, is the characteristic tool assemblage; tool types include delicately made blades, microblades, burins and scrapers, as well as some large bifacial projectile points. Approximate dates are 4000-1000 bc. See Table 9, page 552.
