A small fortified Late Neolithic settlement site in Thessaly, Greece. Within the multiple walls and elaborate system of fortifications are a large megaron palace and smaller buildings. The typical pottery was elegant bichrome with spirals and meanders painted in black or white on a yellow or buff ground. Two tholos tombs date from the Mycenaean period.

Small fortified settlement in Thessaly, northern Greece, which has given its name to the local late Neolithic. The settlement occupied c0.5 hectares and contains houses and a larger building in megaron form. The finely decorated pottery is painted in black or sometimes white on a yellow or buff surface and the motifs include spirals and meanders.
