Small fortified settlement in Thessaly, northern Greece, which has given its name to the local late Neolithic. The settlement occupied c0.5 hectares and contains houses and a larger building in megaron form. The finely decorated pottery is painted in black or sometimes white on a yellow or buff surface and the motifs include spirals and meanders.
